I believe music has the power to bring empowerment, hope, and motivation to people from every walk of life. I’m thrilled to share my passion for voice at Voice Academy NYC, and I look forward to helping students of all ages and levels discover the power of music in their own lives.
Tate is a professional opera singer, performer, and voice and piano instructor from San Diego, California. Classically trained, she has brought to life some of opera’s great soprano roles, including Musetta (La Bohème), Gilda (Rigoletto), Nedda (I Pagliacci) with Opera New York. Beyond opera, she has also starred in musicals such as Phantom of the Opera (Carlotta), Grease (Rizzo), and Once on This Island (Mama Euralie), and has directed multiple productions as the founder of her own company, The CoOperative.

From opera stages to musical theater, Pop & R&B, Tate brings a multidimensional approach to every lesson. Classically trained, with extensive experience in dance, acting, and live performance, she helps students develop both strong technique and confident artistry.
Since 2018, Tate has taught voice at Voice Academy NYC to students of all ages and skill levels. Her approach combines vocal technique with stage presence, performance, musicality and expression, helping each students discover their unique sound and perform with confidence.

Beyond opera, Tate has starred in musicals including Phantom of the Opera as Carlotta, Grease as Rizzo, and Once on This Island as Mama Euralie. She is also the founder of The CoOperative, her own company, through which she has directed multiple productions. Her extensive background in dance, acting, opera, musical theater, and performance allows her to bring a unique and multidimensional perspective to both the stage and the classroom.
