Vocal Evaluation

Your personal evaluation will be conducted by a seasoned professional vocal coach!

Students should prepare a song of their choosing to sing during the evaluation. 

Vocal Evaluation Parameters – Graded on a 5-point Scale:

VOCAL TECHNIQUE
Breathing [Use proper breath support]
Strength [Sing with dynamics/ability to project]
Intonation/Pitch Control [Accuracy hitting the notes]
Range [Mark current low and high notes]
Bridge [Ability to switch between low and high notes]
Tone [How aesthetically pleasing is the your naturally]
Articulation/Enunciation [How easy to understand; shaping of words]

VOCAL PERFORMANCE
Overall performance [How well did the singer perform the song?]
Emotion [Level of emotion in performance]
Phrasing/Expressiveness [Use of rhythm and interpretation]

BODY
Posture [Does student have good posture]
Chin position [Is chin position neutral, down or up]
Shoulders/neck [Shoulders/neck relaxed or tense]

Final written report will be sent to student after evaluation showing strengths and areas that need focus.
